My business crime partner and I are coming from the same generation and mindsets. We also proved that we are working in a harmony with the same enthusiasm and passion throughout the years when we first were students and after colleagues together in this corporate world despite of our differences.

Now, we decided to combine our knowledge, experiences, principles and areas of our expertise and resources together to make a slight change within the sustainability concept in this corporate world and to create opportunities to be able to touch other’s life by doing what we are best.

SİNEM TEKÇE:

Sinem is one of the key player within the sector with more than 20 years of experience and practices. After Saint Benoit French High School, she studied  Business Administration in Oxford Brookes University.

She started her career as a HR Specialist in a well-known logistic company in Turkey. As she was convinced that this was not her dream job, she started to work as compliance manager for a textile agent called Sesby, and she experienced working with recognised brands like Levi’s, Nordstrom, Jones and Tommy Hilfiger. She loved the job mainly because she was touching people’s lives, changing their working conditions, convincing to change, travelling all around the world, being part of sustainable solutions, and making difference. It was literally her dream job.

She worked as a vendor compliance specialist and COC auditor at H&M and Gap. Her journey brought her to Primark where she worked as Ethical Trade Manager. During her period at Primark, she;

  • Established and implemented Primark Ethical Trade Program to the region,
  • Identified and evaluated risks for every aspects of the business and recommended sustainable solutions,
  • Connected the brand with its suppliers,
  • Formed and managed the regional team,
  • Worked closely with stakeholders,
  • Leaded global projects besides other key activities and responsibilities of the position.

After the pandemic, she continued her career as Ethical Compliance Manager at Boohoo Plc.  During her tenure, she mapped Boohoo’s supply chain in Turkey, established and implemented the traceability system. Within the scope of Social Compliance; with continuous trainings and strict follow-up she brought the companies in the supply chain to the targeted level and then has retired.

Now, as an independent consultant, she founded SNT Consultancy to offer creative and sustainable solutions to her clients with the confidence of 25 years of experience.


Nergiz Eren Çayıroğlu:

Born in 1977 in Istanbul, Eren graduated from Private Doğuş High School and then studied Business Administration at Oxford Brookes University in England. She then completed her master’s degree in Human Resources at De Montford University and returned to Turkey.

After working as a Human Resources Specialist at Thames Water and Accenture, after five years of corporate experience, she wanted to do her own business and started a fashion venture. She created a brand called Blisskiss with a friend. She worked at every stage of this brand from A to Z such as import, export, design, production, merchandising and wholesale. During this process, she studied Fashion Design at IMA for two years and learned B2 level Spanish at Cervantes. She worked as a consultant for other brands to keep her own brand afloat and closed her own company at the end of 10 years. During this whole process, she never stopped writing, which is another passion of hers, and her first book “Heves Önemli Kismet Şart”, in which she wrote about her experiences gained from her own brand, took its place on the shelves in 2018.

Eren, who is married and has a 5-year-old son, has been working as a freelance social compliance consultant and auditor for local and foreign companies since 2010. In addition to Social Compliance Consultancy, she works on sustainable fashion. She provides support to the companies she consults on issues such as ZDHC, HIGG Index (Worldy). Finally, by adopting Haruki Murakami’s philosophy of “I couldn’t write if I didn’t run”, Eren has made running a part of her routine.
